Tour Charleston
During our 90 minute walking ghost tour, our City of Charleston licensed tour guides recount hauntings and supernatural events from our best-selling book The Ghosts of Charleston. We are fortunate to have many repeat guests, and lots of tales to share, so we switch things up nightly by varying ghosts stories on every tour. There is no experience like walking enchanted Charleston at night, listening to our supernatural stories, and encountering what you will see and hear in the Unitarian Church Graveyard.
Stop At:
Unitarian Church in Charleston
The highlight of Tour Charleston's Ghosts of Charleston Tour is entering the lush, spellbinding Unitarian Church Graveyard built in 1772. Real time hauntings occur only a handful of times a year. However, since 1996, when we started what is now Charleston's oldest ghost tour, spirits in the Unitarian Church Graveyard have reached out to many people on our tour in visual, tactile and auditory ways.

This tour was absolutely amazing. Our guide Simon was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. I would recommend this tour ten times over to anyone.
Just alright

Tour was fine. Honestly, it felt more historically informative then ghost material. The church Graveyard was interesting - wish we would have known the condition of the grave yard, would have brought a flashlight to help my grandparents see (many trip hazards).

Simon is quite the story teller! Being able to go into the Unitarian graveyard really was the highlight! A great way to spend the evening!
Fun tour; give it a try.

Jonathan was a great guide. Enjoyable ghost tour. Good stories about haunted sites in Charleston. Recommend for an evening activity …
Disappointing at best

The best part of the tour had nothing to do with our experience; it was being with family and seeing Charleston at night. Our tour guide was overly dramatic, which detracted from what he had to share. His stories rarely pertained to where we were standing. The tales that he told left us with questions. The guide seemed too worried about timing to take the time to answer us. He did walk quickly, especially through the graveyard at the end, which is touted as a unique part of this tour. The recitation of Poe's poem could have been cut short. All in all, we were unhappy with the tour and felt that it was overpriced based the lack of quality.

Jonathan D. Did a great job. He had so much to share with us we spent extra time with him. Very interesting and a lot of fun!

This was my second time going on a ghost tour in Charleston. I was excited to bring my family back and let them experience the haunting stories of Charleston but unfortunately I’m extremely disappointed in my experience this time. To start our tour guide was extremely difficult to understand, multiple people in our party mentioned the smell of alcohol coming from his direction as he was telling stories. He slurred his words and seemed to get lost in his storytelling. Leading us to believe he had been drinking prior to our tour. On top of that guide walked so fast that we couldn’t keep up with him, leaving many in our group behind as he turned dark alleys that we almost missed. Even my father who natural walks fast was winded trying to keep up with him. Guide aside I was disappointed that this tour had many ghost stories that took place in other areas, not where we were walking. This tour was not as engaging as other tours. The stories were based on a book rather than on the areas we were walking. There are plenty of great tours in Charleston, unfortunately this one missed the mark.
