This activity will end right where it started.
Meet your private guide on Oranienburger Strasse in West Berlin and set out to explore the city at your own pace. Pass by the New Synagogue, pausing to admire its striking Moorish architecture, then walk to the nearby Palace of Tears, a former border point between East and West Berlin. Learn more about the divided city during the Cold War years as you explore the exhibition and hear the harrowing tales of how residents attempted to flee from Russian occupied East Berlin into Allied occupied West Berlin.

Next, stop to take photos of the grand Brandenburg Gate, one of the city’s most significant historic monuments, and walk through the moving Holocaust Memorial, a poignant reminder of the city’s dark past. A visit to Hitler’s bunker offers more information about Berlin’s WWII history and the rise of the Nazi party.

Re-fuel with a delicious Currywurst, a popular street food snack of sausage with curry sauce, then move on to discover a different side of the city. Stroll around the Gendarmenmarkt and Bebelplatz, home to some of Berlin’s most impressive architecture, and cross over to the UNESCO-listed Museum Island.

Finally, explore the vibrant urban quarter of Mitte, where your guide will point out little-known attractions including the Missing House on Große Hamburger Strasse and the picturesque Heckmann Höfe.

Your tour ends back at the starting point.

Our guide Claudia has lived in Berlin for over a decade and is involved in many heritage and historial initaives in the city. She shared a wealth of details in a chatty easygoing manner that made our four hours fly by. As we had already seen a couple of the sites the day before that she was intending to take us to she happily changed our itinerary and took it all in her stride. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough an dif you are lucky enough to get Claudia i am sure you will agree it is excellenet value for money.

We had a great time with Miha as he showed us around Berlin and took us to some of the places we wouldn't see if we had followed a traditional guide. We were amazed at how much ground we covered and managed to see every sight we had planned to visit in a single day. This may sound rushed however due to Mihas excellent humour and knowledge we did each sight in great detail and left knowing and understanding the history in greater depth. The World War 2 tour was brilliant! This was a really nice day and we would like to recommend Miha to everyone else who wants to see the real Berlin.

My girlfriend and I went to Berlin to understand a bit more about the history of the city. The aim was to get a great first impression of the city and visit the most interesting and iconic landmarks related to WWII in 4 hours! Miha took us to see all the main highlights, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and other hidden gems, but in a really fun way. He is a great story teller, has a great sense of humour and knows the city inside out and is ready to answer all your questions about the wall and life in Berlin. Miha customized the tour for us and even took the request to stop somewhere to eat the typical Currywurst! It was just what we wanted. We really recommend booking with Miha!
