Celebrations run throughout the city, with Winter Wonders events stretching an impressive 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) and a huge Christmas market, plus a 65-foot (20-meter) Christmas tree taking over Grand-Place, the city's central square. A seasonal evening light and sound show is held on Grand-Place, and Christmas concerts take place at the Place Saint-Catherine.

Bundle up and go skating at the outdoor ice rink on Place de la Monnaie, ride the Ferris wheel and other fair rides, or line up to watch a light parade in the city center on a Saturday evening.
